Four days and three nights on the road and the pig is home from Yuma.
On a whim I put it on the CAT scales. Here is the results. Mind you this toy-hauler is completely empty.

30K is going to be pushing a 3500's load capacity for sure. My car is 2000 say 500 in water a couple hundred in food and stuff, so that is just a start of what I carry in the old trailer.

This comes to mind

24K truck and mother ship loaded to gills. I haven't even started putting tools and parts in the new one. Hair on fire

Might need to cut down on some the the stuff ya pack away in that thing, just dont forget the ice cream! ;D
So how did ya like the way it pulled home? Always heard empty toyhaulers pull nose heavy.
-
so empty is about 15k lbs? that is a far cry heavier than mine!!!!! mine is 8200 lbs empty or so the sticker says.
-
If the sticker is white, it is likely estimated weight. Yellow should be actual weight as it left factory. Most companies actually weigh them now after the whole weekend warrior deal. Hence the change to the yellow sticker.

I'm thinking it will come in some where around 15 to 16K empty. Looking at what is on the ticket add about 3500 to the axle weight from the pin weight and should put me in the ball park for and empty weight. Dodge advertises that the 3500 will tow 30K so i'm good .rofl Found out last night it has a converter in it so I can run micro,tv's, hair dryer and coffee pot all off the battires. jj: Even has the auto shift for gas to electric on the refrigerator. hh: So get to where your going and plug in the land line and the frig go's from gas to electric. jj:

i did not know that about yellow or white. mine is a yellow tag on the entry door and reads 8275.
dodge claims a 30k fifthwheel tow weight huh lol so how did it tow home compared to your other th'er?
-
and they rate the new f350 6.7 diesel at 26900 lbs fifth or goose
my older 99f350 drw is only rated to pull 13500 fiver or goose per ford specs

All fine and dandy, but how much does your trailer weigh?
-
enough that he should be looking at a class 8 ;D ;D ;) ;) rofl

Let the transfer began. 7000# axles with the electric over hydraulic brakes and ez-flex suspension going over to the new mother ship. New mother ship 6K axles and standard electric brakes going over to the old mother ship. They will be good enough to get the old trailer to a lake some where and set her down on some cinder blocks for a nice lake home. Got it's own power. ;D
On a bitter note! I was floored when I seen the wet shackle bolts that come out of the ez-flex suspension system that has only been in the trailer since 2013 Oct. Completely worn out. Bolts and bushings. I greased that system before every trip to be sure it would last. Every manufacture has them on back order until July. Just happen to find a set on E-Bay, should be here next Tuesday.
-
Those wet bolts lasted less time than the bushings. I was going to possibly upgrade but not now. Save my money and waste it on a more fun toy.

well i had mine apart a last year installing new leaf springs and mine were all fine. had on bushing i broke before i re installed but bolts looked great and all.
