Fabr's Dyno Day 3 12 2020
« on: March 04, 2020, 10:03:30 PM »
D Day is coming-finally. What's your guess tq and hp? 360 inch SB2.2 from the early 2000's Nascar Cup world. Slightly smaller cam and will limit rpm to 8000. E85. Will be doing a conservative tune.

but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

hub dyno so it's wheel numbers. I don't care what the crank numbers would be. All that matters is what the wheel sees,IMO. I'm sure the Fortin will eat up a significant amount. I don't believe the numbers will be all that good compared to a lot of other cars that are not boosted. Just looking for a solid, conservative tune.

Wheel is what I figured it would be. but that helps guess the Numbers knowing what the motor was restricted to in nascar. So i will say 745 hp and 620 tq. wild guess. Looking foreword to seeing your cars bat in the sand.

That would be the right HP neighborhood at the crank @ around 9200rpm and tq at around 6000rpm. At the wheel and limiting rpm to 8000 I'd be surprised to see over 400 HP to be honest.

i bet you surprise yourself and see 450/550tq at the wheels on peak. on e85 you can buy some advance and i know thats a high compression the breathes very well!

 :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) : Yes ,a bit surprised to say the least. Very conservative tune with only 27* total advance and safe AFR's.  Best pull at the wheel was 578 Hp @6200 and 480 TQ near the same. As was expected the thing doesn't come to life until about 4200 and pulls quite well to 8000 that I have decided to limit it to. Almost exactly as Comp said the cam would do.

I am quite surprised how "little " was lost to the parasitic pigs, the Fortin and converter to say the least. I'm guessing only about 125 HP. Pretty good I think.

That's big HP to the wheels, congrats.  I can't imagine that kind of power and torque in a sand rail, with the tire hook up we can get.  I need a ride!  :s

It's not looking Good. In the past, say 5  years ago you could count on it being dry all summer. But scene then its real hit and miss. Dry for a week or two then run for a week or two. Their is the annual Pecker Head run. From Garden city to Dodge City. It's 4th of July weekend. It  has allways been to hot to run it with the old VW motor. The trail gets tight in places, i have heard. the tamaracks will scratch up your car. I  never have done it myself. It sure could be a good time now that i run water cooled. I went done and watched them head out last year. I would say 20 to 30  ORV. side by sides, bikes, jeeps, trucks a few buggys. i would say its about a 40 mile ride. If you need gas there are sevral little town to meet up with a chase vehicle. I went down last week end headed west to dodge , I'm guessing 5 miles and never found dry sand.
