Title: Billet oil pan
Post by: Tivie on December 12, 2010, 09:43:40 AM
I purchased a billet oil pan to gain some clearence, and realized when I received it it wasn't plumbed for the oil cooler.  Can I just drill and tap for AN fitting, or do without the oil cooler.  The motor is a Busa, buggy is a Cuda.
Thanks

IMO the oil cooler is needed but many do away with it. IMO a bad idea. I don't know of what pan you have but it depends on it what needs done to use the cooler with it.

I found it on the internet.  It is a RPM logo on the bottom.

I have the same one, I will be machining the ports to use the original cooler return line.

I built five of these for a guy one time.  He never did sale them.  All the hot racer's said that they weight to much.  He runs a hot dog bike and had to pull the pan after every run to change the bent forks because of the air shifter.  This let him just pull a window out and change out the forks instead of putting a new gasket on every time.
