you may find them at a woodworking shop, I think you'd be looking for "edging clamps"

I've seen them listed as edge banding clamps
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

I think you guys are right. The ones I saw on ebay are listed for wood working.

See I see said the blind man. Makes sense to me now a good bit more.

I can see how they would hold wodd togehter like Fabrs mockups.

How well do they stay on tube Doug? Did you tack weld round bits to the clamps so they grab the tube with out slipping off or do they work fine with just the round discs they come with?? Thanx              Bill

They would work better with bits of angle welded to them. They are difficult to use in the round tube application.

I kinda like the clamps like these too. Easy to make a "home brew version"

Just make them out of angle iron or square channel and hold them to the tube with hose clamps OR you can get fancy like the "quickee" clamps in the pics and I may try something like this.

Weld a solid piece of flat to the back for the bolt/pivot/angle lock part.

I like these too. Thought about making a knock off. It would be easier if I had a plasma cutter. Vansant want over $38 + shipping. Seems a little steep to me!

I bet you can make them with just a bandsaw or hacksaw even or a chopsaw.

Aside from the fancey clamp part the other parts can be simply straight cut from angle iron or channel and welded with one drill hole for the bolt. Then use hose clamps to hold the tube in them.

Hose clamps! Genius! Thats what I like about forums like this.

Could probably sacrifice a couple small c-clamps and weld them to the angle. May get a little cumbersome though.

I know this is an old thread but Summit Racing sells a great version of the clamp your talking about making with the hose clamps. But if you can work it, rock on
