I'm mounted inside the car where it's nearly impossible to get wet. The literature that comes with it pretty much tells you to protect it from water. It comes with a big rubber shield for that purpose if you are using it on a specific vehicle. Have you had any issues since the initial problem?

No more issues yet,but it has'nt had enough time to prove itself yet.
Mine too is also mounted in inside/under the bonnet area of the Drakart.
The rubber type matt they provide is ONLY for splashproof, not waterproof!
That's why I advise on checking ALL the join/seam lines of the module including the plug bases for gaps in the silastic lines.
Both of my Modules were NOT 100%,fully sealed. You could see the holes/gaps were the silastic was not.
Taking into account the jolting and wet areas these buggies get into and throw around under the bonnet, plus come clean up time, the total sealing issue is paramount.

I understand it is just a splash shield . As for my install tho let me put it this way,if the box gets wet I'll be soaked to the middle of my chest. LOL!!! I'll have to be driving in 3 feet of water for that to happen . I'll double check the case sealing tho. Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it. i have read others experiences with it and for the most part are positive. I'll have my own real world experience soon. I'll be the first to cuss it and post it if it gives me trouble. That's what these forums are for.

I doubt if the unisteer can do that since it's a simple assist. LOL!!!! BUT!,I did get rid of my '05 vette for that very reason. Different cause but same effect.  The ESC would grab my right front brake and try to steer me off into the ditch.  Suddenly and out of nowhere.EFF THAT!

One of the theories is that the PS is trying to assist the driver in making a turn they did not intend to make. They have not really figured out what is going on though. It may be limited to cars with ESC and people just blame the newest technology.

my cts supposedly has some steering assistance thing to help keep you on the road when drifting off...  the steering gets really ridgid like its solid..  then your arms wear out...  hard to explain.. nothing like you guys mention though.
