delrin vs urethane bushings
« on: May 03, 2010, 09:20:01 PM »
on flea bay I can get crush tubes with urethane for half the price of crush tubes  made with delrin or that UMH stuff. I know the urethane will squeak but will it be a reasonable option for my rear suspension? ( small mini buggy with a quad engine ) I plan to have crush tubes with the urethane at the inner connections to the frame and cro-mo heim joints on the outer connections to the bearing carriers. H-arms like Enemy has or a 5 link.
                                              ???   Thanks, snoopy

Bushings at the frame connection, heims at the wheel hubs?  Limits adjustability some, but if built true  shouldn't matter.  I think mine are urethane, havn't noticed squeaking  (motor louder) besides I like the squeaky mattress sound.

urathane bushings are softer and can flex... delrin is like hard plastic.
