roll bar lean angle ?

What is considered a safe degree of lean on a main roll bar hoop ?

 I was thinking of 15 degrees of tilt. That would be a nice match to my seat angle. Proper bracing tied in to the rear to support that much, but is it safe ?

The hoop on the Cuda is 4 degrees from memory, which I didn't think was alot but each to their own! What Fabr said makes sence as usual, well sometimes eyes depends on the meds I think.. rofl

Fabr has a good point, I never went over 10...I caught lots of shit for some of my buggy's looking like a pickup truck... That is a tough choice...Keeping the main hoop behind your head on a small buggy,and keeping a good symetry look...
Altho- depending on what your wheelbase will allow there are some options available
1) you can run a longer base frame and have room for a 90* up-right  support
2)run the main hoop at the angle you want and tie it in with a heavily fortified rear hoop that is tied into the lower main in multiple places
3) Lean the main hoop to where you need it to be and tie it in in multiple places in the front and the rear of the hoop, kinda spider webbing it...The main thust of impact can be distributed over a larger area of the lower though multiple points
 
 
Sorta deprnds how many smaller hunks of tube you are willing to notch/bend, and weld in

As long as the main rollbar is properly braced fore and aft, and (preferably) cross-braced, run it at pretty much whatever angle you want. The more braces the merrier, as long as you don't care too much about weight.
