I thinking of adding a water temp gauge. Not sure if i should go mech/or elecetric. I think the electric would be easier to install. Just splice it into the temp sensor line(right)? I not sure how long the mech leed is.
What have others done??

I use mechanical, with an adapter, I run sled motors and the electrical on sleds is just a warning light...
The mechanicals usually have a standard 6' lead

If you use an aftermarket electrical, you will have to use the sender that comes with it - most likely different ohms from the one already on your car. Food for thought..still more plumbing..

I tried to run off the bike motor to an aftermarket and it did not read right so I tapped into one of my lines coming from the motor and installed the sender that came with it
