Going up 1 tooth on the front is equal to going down 3-1/2 to 4 teeth in the rear. Can you swap out the 65 tooth for a 63 or 64 tooth?If you have a busa, I have 3 or 4 12 tooth sprockets here, I ran them for years with no problems, even ran an 11 tooth once. Just gotta keep the chain dry lubed....

My new chain(530ZZZ) came all gooped up in the lube it came with, looks like white lithium grease. should I wipe off as much excess as possible?
It is all sticky, like grease. Not dry. The chain I bought is 112 links, I haven't cut it down yet, I still need to go either one tooth up or down on the countershaft sprocket first, to get in the adjustment range of my tensioner.
