since my gauge on my dash displays ethy % i look to see the change with every fill up. i will have to start tube testing it to see for sure. should be interesting. the part 1 to that 2nd video you posted said something interesting about temp having an effect on ethy %...... hadn't heard that before hmmmm wonder if that is a direct use in production or what?
I think it referred to temp being a factor in how much condensation is available to introduce liquid water into the alky due to condensation.

Been reading all I can on e98 shelf life compared to e85 shelf life and e85 with even small quantities  dissolved/absorbed water shelf life. and there's just no really defined answers other than very short shelf life of water contaminated eXX. It's not the alky goes bad , it's the gas component. Anhydrous e98 has an almost indefinite storage life.

did not know that. are there any location in nebraska to get anhydrous e98?
You tell me. It's a LOT closer than Minnesota! lol

I don't think any sell to the public. Couple years ago none of those did anyway.

I do not want to buy pump e85 if at all possible. I want to buy e98 from a distributor in  sealed drums like I got from Glacial Plains. There has to be a source closer than there but if I have to I will make the drive. Last resort I will just go back to $$ race gas if I cannot get drums of anhydrous E98 to blend my own e85.

yes,11 hour drive 1 way for me. They do not now ship out of state due to some taxing BS. This is from the website,I have not called them directly. I just found out a couple months ago and had decided to just do pump e85 from the stations fast suggested but now that I am reading more on it I have gotten gun shy of pump e85.

well i can say i havent had any issues with pump e85. now having said that i should include that i have been buying from one of the stations the state jcounty vehichles fill up from. i know those tanks are constantly being filled. i also know they do have to test and post ethy level. its listed as e70 currently but it is winter here so no surprise there. when i buy fuel for the trip its 2 days before i depart , normally.  so far 24 gals for a 3 day trip is pretty close. a 55 gal drum left down there , thinned to e70 would last prob 3 - 3day trips. so have considered asking a certain someone if i could park a barrell a year down at waynoka.  so i called two of the refineries here in nebraska today. forget flint hills , your better off pissing in the wind than trying to get through there phone system. called the revenna neb plant. they informed me that sales for themselves and the other smaller plants go through a company in michigan and to cantact patrick there. makes no sense but i contacted patrick and explained the situation. he is going to call back but is searching for a plant in nebraska that i can buy anhydrous e98 direct from by the 55gal drum. we'll see what he says.........
