so i know you like the yxz platform, have you seen the new honda talon 1000x or R? they have designed an automatic trans that can be manually shifted as well. appears to have pretty crisp shift points on video.

all the info i see about it which isn't much at all lol

Building a transmission without a belt in today’s market is a step out from the pack, and Honda’s DCT, or Dual Clutch Transmission, has proven itself in many Ride Red machines. This fully automatic six-speed transmission provides twin shifting modes in Normal as well as Sport for those who love to be in control. This all-gear transmission also provides engine-braking for steeper trails.

Don't know anything about them but since we have 4 yxz's I doubt I will  either.  :m  Pretty amusing how they seem to think they are the innovator of a real trans in a sxs though.

didn't figure you would change just found it interesting.  i agree lol they make a lot of claims that very few question!  i do like the idea of an auto with paddle shift for the manual feel, that's a nice touch.

There is no doubt that the sxs market is maturing into some very capable machines. Capable yes but durable? Nope. The OEM's are betting on a LOT of parts sales. For almost no extra cost the sxs's could be made very durable but that is not in the interest of the OEM's that make a LOT of money on repairs.
