I have a Miller Econotig that lost amp control. All welding processes pedal or no pedal its 100% amperage. I was tiging on a dirtbike frame just fine, moved to the other side of the frame and when i hit the pedal it was full throttle. I tried to scratch start with the same results. I then tried to arc weld and this too was full amperage. WTF! Any help.

Sorry bud I can't help much I have a dirty old UNI TIG down here in OZ, I wouldn't know what one looks like.. Just go through ya book ya get make sure you've got it set up properly, then check ya settings. That's about all I can suggest. Good luck. :-\

How old is it?
When is the last time it was cleaned/blown out?
if it's a late 90's or newer miller had some trouble with their electronics,
If it's still under warranty I'd bring it to the welding house and have them look at it...I went thru- several while they were working out the bugs on the new control boards

Its a late 90s one. I got it used but it worked fine for a few monthes. The inside is very clean, you can tell it has low hours. I am possitive on setting it up correctly, I weld for a living, mostly arc though.

Check each of the pedal leads for continuity.
