Title: LS Spring Gathering May 6-12/2013
Post by: Carlriddle on January 25, 2013, 01:37:44 PM: Time has come once again! And I know that I work best with a deadline. rofl Putting this up to see if we can get a date worked out that all can join in on the fun.

Right now looks like 2nd week of MAY 6-10th Hows that look?

So I am in for the 6 to 10th. Thinking I am going down on Tuesday and heading back Saturday. That way I can get my stuff put away before the next round.

Yes got the car tuned on the Ethanol now. Run's like a drunk monkey. John at Outfront rung 335 hp out of it to the rear wheels. That computes close to 500 at the crank. It is a point and shoot car now. When it come's up on it's 24 pounds of boost you better well have some where to go. It dose use more fuel now so I need to get a bigger fuel tank in it.

Likely be bringing the big rig. Need to get some road time on it loaded to see what to expect for the long journeys coming up. The thing is no powerhouse for sure.

Had a blast in Nebraska pu new-to-me truck. Thanks DS for picking up hitchhickers at airports, rofl. Thought we were going to have a truckload after that door fell of the airplane. LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO
And I was so glad to find Mexican beer in Enemy's fridge. He smuggles it in 3-4 cases at a time. We left 1 beer. I'll replace in LS. ;D Really great job restoring that f150 lighting.
Then got to eat lunch with Deano and his wife and pig out on some of her homemade snacks. Thanks
Then wrapped up Sat night with stories fabout Extreme Home Makeover, Dunebound edition. LMAO rofl LMAO rofl LMAO
Then a nice relaxing 13-1/2 hr drive home, Sarcasm

To much crap in the trailer that I must have, maybe, but don't want to risk not having. ;D Would have had it all done but, I managed to get stuck under the trailer trying to weld it in. Heard of painting yourself in a corner. Well welding yourself in is far worse! It was midnight and no one else was around. Took me 20 mins to wiggle my fat ass out. If I had just welded the last cross brace from the top I could have got done. But had to do the MRI, Doc, and chemo thing this week so it sits some what welded in and I work till sunday so nothing getting done till then.

Still have some stuff to do to the big trailer before the fall trip but since I'm bringing the red trailer for some friends to use Fri/Sat it can wait till after LS to get the elevated floor installed.

Trailer now has little kitchen, ;D, full size fridge for moare refreshments. Should be there Wed lunch, just in time for a quick run before ice cream. Now to throw some undies, 1 pair of shorts, and some flip flops in a bag.

Don't have enough joints or time to get done. So I will ride a little out of shape. Power drain found. Some dumb s#$t put a constant hot lead to what was to be a switched terminal on a relay, opps. Trailer is clean thanks to my helper. Tomorrow looks to be a packing day. Rolling out Monday AM, shooting for 8 or 9 at the latest. Puts me at LS around 5 if I do not have to stop at Wally world in Alva.

Really hated to leave but ran out of fuel. no problems with the car and now will have to go on a diet to lose all the fat I gained over the corse of a week at LS. We had to tip toe thru some hail on ice cream night but still stuffed 14 people in the mother ship for fun times and lots of home made ice cream. got a couple of small hail dings in the hood jof the truck as the rest of the guys. Carl had some major dings in the roof the his new inclosed. As all have said now that I am running the e-85 fuel I am burnning just right at 35% more then on race gas. But I have so much more torque then ever before. there were times when I had to use fourth gear to get from one dune to the next. There is a first time for everything.

Pretty sure I cant go to work. Walking is difficult to say the least. Big thanks to the guys that lifted the rail off my dumb ass. I will be putting in an clutch safety switch for the starter. Clutch not in, no start.

Doc said just because the x-rays don't show breaks now dose not mean they wont develop. He was shocked at no broken bones after hearing the story of the dumb-ass attack! Getting better every day. Must be another benefit of Floridas lovely climate Sarcasm. Started to run slower and slower. At first thought it was the wind till I noticed there wasn't any. eyes A few hills lugged down to 40mph. thumb down Should have suspected as much since he had 5 of the things in the belly of the toter. rofl All's well now though.

Thanks bud! Appreciate the offer. There has been some positive progress on the Jeffco throughout the week and will update when it (hopefully) all comes together.
