Hayabusa Cursing RPM
« on: December 17, 2014, 12:26:21 AM »
When you are cursing a Hayabusa what RPM should it be at?  Mine seems to be geared to low.  6th Gear going 60 -70 it is at 8000 - 8500 RPM or is that where it should be?

About where I'm at. In the dunes, running around I'm in the 4-8K range almost all the time. On the road, theoretically,I should be around 90 @ redline. This is off of memory .

Street driving, use a larger tire.  For sand you will want the gearing.

"60 -70 it is at 8000 - 8500 RPM". That's about what I'm running @ with 31's on dirt.  I like the rpm with the 35's for the new car much better. Off the top of my head it's around 1300 rpm lower with them. Much better. PLENTY of power even with the 35's on dirt.

what is your countershaft sprocket tooth count?  rear sprocket tooth count?

fyi when I am cursing the hayabusa I am not sure what rpm my heart is at but beating damn fast!!  rofl rofl rofl rofl sorry had to.   actually sounds a touch deep to right on. like fab and carl said bigger tire for road and smaller for sand. my paddles are 31" tall.  in the sand I have to run 6-8k rpm pretty much all the time and climbing hills 8-10k rpm and following sand racer1 through the trails rev limiter non stop  rofl    of course that will change this year!!!!!!!     just saying
in the dirt I couldn't tell you my rpm cause my tires break traction so fast I don't even look.

Get that turbo on it and you can run in a higher gear and still have plenty of grunt. Same runs I'm @ 4-6K.

I just got a hell of a laugh out of this thread.  Yes spelling has been a curse sense I was born.  rofl rofl rofl

I think cursing rpm is somewhere around 0 for the record.
