Damn! Car held up remarkably well considering. Glad they're okay.

Bad mistake, he lifted off the throttle just before the crest. Had he stayed in it, it would have landed on all four about fifty feet and they would have gone on.

OK,it finally played for me.  From the sound of it ,he lifted just after the crest. Can we say cartwheel with a pirouette ?

A car crash shouldn't scare you if you have faith in the car. When in doubt, stay out. I'd have had no worries in that car.

A car crash shouldn't scare you if you DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS and have faith in the car. When in doubt, stay out. I'd have had no worries in that car.

Rear bottomed and kicked, poor shock set-up. Pretty common on rock donkeys, what works in the boulders don't work at speed.

I saw that car up close in contingency at the Mint last year. The slick bodywork is what I noticed first, but they had some cool cv axle setup with floating sleeves. I guess it lets them run oil instead of grease for the cvs. Definitely not the norm.  I was bummed to see it get banged up but some new arms, a shock tune and they should be back at it.

I have wondered for years if it would be practical to run gear lube in CV's like big rigs do on wheel bearings. Any info or pics of what you saw?

No pics and they were tight lipped. He said it was for sale and he'd tell me more if I bought it. It caught my eye because the axles weren't turning as it rolled down the row.  That and they were larger od than I was used to seeing.

Wonder if there is a yard sale discount on it right now.
