I usually use the poly panels, but have done aluminum on a few, I'd say 1/8'' would be ridgid enouph to not get the little krinkles from debris hitting it...I used 22GA oncse...that was like a pop can skin, had to put alot of brake bends in it to help it keep it's shape 8)

In the woods, a decent size stick could go right through the skin if it's too thin too.  My choice would prolly be 12-14ga.  10 seems just a little heavy to me.  Would be good for fenders though.

My  entire rail is .050.  I used .040 years ago but it was just dinging and pushing in too easily, tried .060 and was stout, but a bitch to work with, then I tried the .050 and have used it ever since, seems to be perfect for my application, and I have a ton of aluminum work on my rail....

This will clear the mud.

I wouldn't print it out yet as all of the sizes are way off.

11 GA is .1196 not .091

14 GA is .0747 not .064

ETC, ETC.

I know tubing gauges are slightly different than sheet but that chart is off......  And the wrong way to.  My steel supplier tells me 14 Ga tube is .082.  I dunno, it doesn't agree with my Jorgensen book on sheets.
