I'm sitting at my non-motorized picnic table...
Been thinking about an XC 460 with indy and an oval track 460...with what I've learned with the cantalevered shocks on my 750...I can pull off 18" of rear wheel travel on  an independant rear suspensioned 48" wide woods screamer... I'll post some pix tomarrow if all goes well

Heh Spec. Looks good. Did you build the spindles? If so, what did you use for the snout? I am thinking about a set like that for my quad. Tim

Ya I designed the uprights and hubs, total weight per side is 4 pounds 1 oz...light and strong...I'm working on a deal with another member here on the production of a custom hi-mis spacer to accent these with lots of degrees of turning radius, In the pix they have a insert that is threaded...I spent alot of time working with them but there durability is in question,,,so I'm working on a standard hi-mis spacer...

Those bikes are what drove me to having a cage around me ;D
So here's the game plan...
Front and rear driver's pod hoops, lower front control arms will be 1.250, .095 wall dom tube...The rest of it will be .080 to .120 wall 1" sq. tube...
I have listened and participated in many of the "discussions" of square vs. round... Here's my take on it...These machines are UNDER 400 pounds, Cross braced, and well thought out...With Driver safety at the top of the list, performance, and durability second...
Trust me when I say there is nothing as fun as strapping your ass in a machine that has a 4 foot by 6 foot foot print with 100 plus horse power and a Spec approve cage around you...Only worries are how bruised your ego will be when you either get beat by a girl...or end up on the roof somewhere ;D...Ive done both...
The cost factor is also very important here...my goal is the be able to produce these for under $4000...I won't be selling turn keys, but kits and plans...The pix above are of the parts already built and tested for these... That's all for now...I gotta go make room on the welding table

Just a quick comment on the front upright and Hub set up the KPI on these is dead set on the center groove on the 21" razors...
10* of rake, and as long as Fabr promises to look they have ackerman as well...I'm considering keeping the XC's with rack steering instead of the frog like on the left hander's
another kinda side note on the uprights...I've been talking to some of our casting  expert members on casting the uprights out of ali, with a removable steel snout... to keep the weight to a minimum but that will drive the price up a few bux too :-[

I looked!
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907
