Just wondering if one of my American friends can help me out with a 2003 model cbr1100xx blackbird ecu? I think I have managed to accidently fry mine so i'm putting the feelers out for a spare. It is my understanding that the american versions don't have HISS security.
If anyone knows of one that is for sale, please p.m me.

I see this on Ebay. They are pretty proud of it. Is this what your looks like?

Hey, thanks for that Engineer, thats the one! I did a search of US ebay and nothing came up for me.
I have sent an email and made the offer ;D. I will see how I go. I got a quote back from an Aus wrecker today - $850!!!
I do have have a backup plan though, a 2000 model ECU that I'm sure will run my motor, I just need to redo the loom the a bit.
Heres hoping anyway.

Hey Simon, Mate I thought you had a yamaha yzf750 motor in ya cuda, did ya change it?
I just had a look back through ya build log and it was a R1 right?

Hey Reidy,
Yep I did have a R1 in the buggy. It went pretty good, but I decided to upgrade (I think anyway) to a cbr1100xx. I had a little hiccup when I I fried the ECU because I missed a pair of duplicate coloured wires doing the harness mods and got them around the wrong way round.
To say I was pissed would be a bit of an understatement. After that little effort, I went and brought a $30 multimeter and have done continuity checks on all the wires I have changed.
In hindsight I should have done that to start with.
