The picture from the rear end is AWESOME!   Yup those lower rear arms (per plan) have never been strong enough

True, but it was a hell of wreck and something had to give. I'm just glad the cage held up pretty well. On the bright side... I have total confidence in my welding now!

Yup, in my business that's called proof testing your welds.  Many times Scooter and I have stood around looking at the roll cages and talked about how strong they're built/designed.  Guess you proved it for us

So looking at the SIZE of the hill your buddy was parked on top of for the jump I gotta ask was that the first attempt at the jump? and if not I want to see the video of the jump!  It was a big hill!

I hit it two or three times (from this corner to the hill), but all the footage was on board. He was parked up there to get it on video. He says I was launching pretty good. I'm uploading the video leading up the crash and shows him hit it and my on board.

To add insult to injury, Big Brown just delivered the quick light base I ordered last week.

Well, I finally got the nerve up to take some measurements and unless my tape measure is lying to me the rear looks square. The PIRCV adjustment plates are bent, but the housing seems square. I'll be able to tell more when I take it all apart, but so far it looks OK. I can rebuild the lower arms without too much trouble. I think I can get the left rear shock shaft replaced. Odds and ends and it might not be as bad as it looks.

well the cage did do it's job and daaaaamn that does suck! glad to hear it's repairable. hard to tell from the video but that hump you hit looked to be about 16" to 24" tall?    looked like you guys were having a blast right before. glad you weren't hurt and you do have some work to do but it will be worth it.

Thanks fellers. The camera does not do that mound justice! It was definitely 2' if not more.

The more I look at the video I realize it was just bad driving. I corrected the drift too quickly, by instinct, instead of allowing the buggy to drift through the corner. I corrected it right into the mound. F'ing rookie mistake. Its been too long since I've been in the dirt and it was an expensive lesson in off-road driving. Well, if I can think of a silver lining it is that I have more respect for it before it was a 100 MPH mistake.
