Thanks mate loved watching the beasties do their thing.... on the scond vid at 7:18 you (I think) took that jump which had been dropping noses at full power and it landed flat. These short lil cars dont like coasting over jumps and do tend to tuck their noses under. They need the throttle on right off the end of the jump ramp.

In fact in the low power larger version we stabbed the clutch right at the launch point to get a little weight transfer to keep th enose up (see pic at the end).

Remember Fingers lady driving his car? She went over a jump, got scared and backed off. Rather nice endo, not too much damage, 'cept Fingers who was holding the vid camera..he's an ex patriot Pom (British)... all we heard was "Fookin Hell"....

Yea I know what you mean about keeping on the gas over and while in the jump
The reason the buggys were landing alot better in the later vids is coz ,I Crapped myself that much from the nose down trick, that we took the loader over there and changed the launch angle
Heaps better after that
It is great fun trying to make them do things there were not designed for I reckon !
Only down side to the whole weekend was both of the Barra"s that were doing the jumps had bottom arm failures

This is Ians his actually failed

I have checked mine since got it home and one is also cracked was about to fail
Not so much from jumps but the track was Gravel with lots of Capstone outcrops in it
Heaps of powerdown no traction in the gravel then when hit the capstone they just hooked up and went
Too much force on the bottom arms
Oohhh well not to worry will build em stronger to last longer  :D

Nice one...lucky that didnt come apart worse.

I guess we shouldnt forget that these things are design for aplay not for serious racing. Certain mods are needed. Thats why mine hardly resembles a Cuda these days.

Good luck mate..

Nice vids!

Wa Superlites went to another new venue over the weekend in Brookton 19/7/09

7 superlites
1 chinaman buggy and a sand buggy made for a great day

The weather was a little undesirable but in the end the outcome was everyone had a great time
Doing time trials in a hail storm  Probably not my most memorable moment to date
