The most important detail is to empty the bottle completely in preparation to coat it. We chose consumption as the method, and in fact prepared several bottles each for this operation.
Peeled the label off of the empty. Made sure all of the label glue was off and scuffed with 320.
Preheating the bottle is the key. The powder was melting to the surface as it was being sprayed. Kept putting powder on until it dulled up a bit, then back in the oven. This newer gun can put out alot of powder in a hurry. Learning curve ahead.
Soaked a couple of other empties in warm water to remove the labels, and applied them to the coated bottle after it cooled. Rather than digging through the garbage pail to find a good cap, we just opened another couple of bottles and chose the best cap.
Drank those two Buds as we admired the finished job.
Then the wive's called us in for homemade burgers and fries... life is good.
