Airbox Delete? Suggestions?

Got a 99 Zx7r for the piranha and not sure if this motor is the best for a piranha but It's all I got.
Problem is the airbox is HUGE Also Carburated Kawi's have the "Kleen" system. It looks like vacuum crap and according to Ninja forums it's an EGR system and a lot of people remove it.

My question is about deleting the airbox. I have read that Kawasaki motors are tuned really tight and I'm wondering if removing it will make it run like shit. I could free up tons of space though...anyone have experience with this?

Most bike engines will need some tuning when doing away with the airbox but if you have a powercommander you can easily tweak the tune.

I don't think its has a computer , he said it has carburetors.
