You trying to say what?
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

On 2 stroke pipes I had problems with the heat tape due to the tapers on the ends of the belly of the pipe after a few times of it getting drenched out in the woods...
the tape would move around during the pressure washing to get the swamp slime and smell off the exhaust...
It's sort of an apples and oranges deal
On your application...the tubes are equal size the entire length, till you get to the collector...on 2 stroke pipes you have tapers and tapered bends to contend with..
also 2 stroke pipes tend to have hot spots from the pulse waves on the refractory end...4 stroke pipes heat IMO a little more evenly and cool more evenly than 2 strokes do...4 strokes have a more consistant exhaust temp where 2 strokes vary wildy...Jetting/altitude/powerband rpm range/grade of fuel/ heat range of the plugs... etc....
Your application was mostly used in dry conditions...
Mine was out in the woods with mud/swamp slimey goo...the only way to get the cooked on stench of the swamp goo was to pressure wash or go after it with a tooth brush...
I'm just saying...that I had problems with the tape getting loose and having to re-wrap the pipes more than once and on more than 1 buggy
I have found that the new style sheet wrap like the stuff on the newer sleds to be pretty good...and the rolled to match the pipe sheilds to be pretty quiet...
But then again...there is always the soup can with some pink insulation under it held on with wire kick

I run exhaust wrap with a heat shield about 1" from header pipe.  I have my exhaust flipped and running over the top of M/C engine.  After melting the skin off my arm, it was a must.  The combination of wrap, air space, and heat shield you can almost use as arm rest now.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

Mostly hydraulics now days. Big machines do the work of many men. Not much ,volume wise, is done like you see on TV with hand held chainsaws today.

That's great to hear as I have a pipe in need of that armrest quality. LOL!!!

Yea... I know...
The good old days of big manly chainsaws are gone... but up here it's still mostly guys running around the woods with chainsaws...and places where they can't get the buncher/fellers into 8)
