i thought it was on this site..  someone posted a video from a hosting site that showed guys using a harbor freight pipe bender and packing the tubes with sand then bending..   but i cant find the thread anywhere.

I saw the same vid. I have that same crappy bender that always kinks tubing. But yes when you pack the tubing full of wet sand and cap the ends, it will bend quite well. Back like 8 or 9 years ago I used the same bender to build tubed back halves on fou linked trucks. That's how I figured out the sand thing. Bottom line- Messy but it works. ;)

i use the same bender and never kink tubes, because i modified the die to work pretty darn well.  i was just getting annoyed that i couldnt find the video..

I modded mine by turning it into a pro-tools 105. ;D I'm sorry I never had a HF bender.I'm just bored and feeling like a smart ass today.Carry on please. ;D
