The gearbox for two busas was super slick.  I agree that shifting syncronization could be the downfall.
I couldn't find it. Where was it?

Guess I'm blind but I only see one busa in that car. Maybe the pics just too small.

1.57" wide gears with that shaft spacing would take some serious abuse. Would still like reverse though.......

Not the pic above but if you look at some of the other gearboxes they actually have a shaft sticking out the gearbox right where it connects to the Hayabusa sprocket shaft area.

Would be potential to utilize that shaft for some type of electric starter or winch motor (etc) electric reverse pretty easy.

Totally separate from the gear box.  You could put the internal reverse gear and run a chain back to a sprocket.

I think you miss understood me.Doesnt the reverse gear setup they sell replace the first gear insinde the bike tranny ?This gives you reverse, then you add the external gear box shown here to get the reduction. No chains back to any where.

Yes Hammerworks they do that BUT you loose one forward gear and many do not wish to give that up if they had a choice.

I dunno,  With the reduction they can get with their gearbox losing first gear may not be all that big of a deal.
