Busa Shallow Sumps
« on: August 29, 2009, 10:26:18 PM »
OK guys I installed the shallow sump for mock up of the Busa today. Who knows what to do to this little gem?  Shorten it?

Here is the sump and swinging pick up

Never used one and don't like the idea either.

Sorry. Nothing wrong with them as such but if the swinging pickup hangs up for any reason you got  possible trouble. I also don't like the lessened oil capacity especially on a boosted busa but you aren't boosting yours. Busas do have a funky pan shape to deal with and therefore they do sit a couple inches higher than any of us like.

This s the deeper sump that claims the sam capacity. Easy to check andwhen I remove it again Ill check it. I do agree on the swinging pick up andwas sceptical myself. After studing it and taking it apart  am comfortable using it. Ahh only time will tell huh?
