Got started on my frame/welding table!
« on: January 08, 2010, 05:55:59 PM »
I finally got started on it. I had to replace the Rotors and pads on my wife's Xterra today so that cut into my garage time a little, but I still made good progress.

Tell that to my wife! She's a neat freak and thinks my shop... ahem... our garage... is a mess! Seriously, how many of you guys mop your garage? I have to admit, it is nice to scrub it and shine it up once in a while.  rofl

Used to scrub and mop the workbays at work after every truck.

Fookin' pain in the arse that was. Until they let us just do the whole shed at the end of the day, anyway.

My garage is a little dirtier now! Made some progress today. Man I need to get a drill doctor. All of my bits are dull and it kicked my butt to drill the holes to mount my casters. I got through two of them. Think I'll go pick up a drill doctor before I finish them.

Looks good!   8)

I agree, a way to sharpen drill bits will sure pay for its self over the years.

I hear you. I tried to use my bench grinder, but sharpening bits by hand is definitely not one of my skills. I think I'm going to return the pnuematic tools I got for Christmas and get the drill doctor. I don't use pnuematic tools enough and my compressor is too damn loud anyway.

A DrillDoctor is the cats ass and worth every penny. Hell I paid for mine in a month.  Doesn't take but a few big bits to pay off early. The time saved and lessened wear on your tools can't be forgotten either.

Thanks guys. Reidy, they are stainless steel leveling screws with lock nuts. They screw into nuts welded to the inside of the square tubing.
