Nice to post that up! Great info. Any of us that need that sort of info would be well advised to get a copy of a machinists ready reference book.It covers 90% of all the questions most of us will ask about machining.
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Funny, I only have one question about machining and I bet the book can't answer it.

Hit us!  What's the question?

"Who should I take this to to get it machined?"

I wouldn't feel bad asking any question.  I used to work with an engineer that had a 4 year degree, Mechanical Engineer.  City boy decided to turn engineer........ No offense intended to anyone.  ;D.......  He would draw up a part, then bring the drawing to me and ask if it could be made.  Didn't have a clue how a mill or lathe worked, or how you would go about making the part.  ::)  Anyway, don't feel bad, this guy managed to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and not a clue about machine work.  I am withholding the college name to protect the guilty!  ;D ;D ;D

"How much for somebody else to jack with it?"

That is my only question.......  ;D
