but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one

the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

My thoughts are.....if you have to add grease, you should prolly be stripping them down anyway.  I don't use the ez lube zirks on my trailers either.  Take them apart, clean them, inspect them, replace, rebuild, or regrease.  That's the only way.  I'm no expert on cvs though.

If your the slightest bit handy with a drill, you can drill and tap most flanges for zerk fitting and do the same thing without losing any axle length/angle.

The nice thing about being able to grease them while they are together is you can assemble them dry and grease them later. They pack very well this way and you don't have grease everywhere.

Why? All the old is pushed out as new is added.

All the flanges I've seen are hardened steel. Kind of hard to drill and tap. What are you using that is not hardened?

Although minor I dont like the fact that you loose axle length. I also like to inspect my cvs when greasing. I think this would make many too lazy to inspect their cvs cause you just give the cv a few pumps and its greased. most wont want to tear down and clean if its that easy to grease. Just a tip for cleaning cvs, I put a gallon of gas in a 5 gallon bucket. I wipe off the bulk of the grease, and toss the cvs in for about an hour. 90% of the grease ends up at the botom of the bucket. Makes cleaning a breeze.

Why do the highly flammable and explosive flammable gas? Go to the hardware store and buy cheapo paint thinner(mineral spirits).Much less flammable. Much safer. Just as fast.

diesel fuel works just fine and isn't as flamable.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

True but paint thinner is  the same thing as commercially available solvent and much cheaper.I have used it in my parts tumbler for years.
